01 Mei 2014 | Indonesië, Pelabuhanratu
Jeez, it's already Thursday! Over precisely 1 week I'll have my last night here in Indonesia.
The past three days we spend our days in Pelabuhanratu, a little town in South West Java, located at the Indian Ocean. We stayed in a resort called Ocean Queen, in a primitive, traditional house. This was really fun since it was in such a big contrast with all the luxury we have here in Jakarta.
We had to go by car over highways, through sawa's (rice fields), over mountains and through palm oil plantations. So the 5-hour car ride wasn't even such a bad thing at all.
The location itself was absolutely beautiful. The beach was on a walking distance from our "house". It was a-ma-zing there. The beach was surrounded by mountains, rocks and palm trees. There were almost no people and it felt as if you discovered a new island yourself. The fact that there were little beach huts in the back kind of ruined that feeling, but that's just a detail. The two days we were there we basically did nothing. It was soooo chill: a little reading, sun bathing, swimming, walking (jalan-jalan in Bahasa (I'm really trying to get to know the language haha)).
And so far this blog, tomorrow I'm helping at the school of my nephews with 'de Koningsspelen' so I'm going to stop writing now.
Sampai nanti! (See you later)
Love,
Elysa
